Our son Michael and his lovely girlfriend Hannah visited us in July.A moment I will never forget…my two sons helping me serve communion at Ebenezer.While Michael and Hannah were here we had a group of teens over to the house.I’ve still got it!Pastor Fred recently baptized these two young men…who made decisions for Christ as a result of last year’s Teen Retreat.A recent visitor…In August I was able to make a short trip to the US to spend some time with my parents.I also got to see Ben, a friend from college and now pastor of one of our supporting churches.Opportunities to spend time with extended family are rare, and very much appreciated.I can now cross airboating in Florida off my bucket list.Back in Brazil, the Ebenezer church organized a campaign to repair the public park in front of our new property.Pastor Appreciation Day is always…appreciated.The Ebenezer youth group showed up to a youth rally in matching shirts.With Pastor Nate Edwards, and his team from West Windsor Baptist Church in Windsor, NY. They were with us in September for a church leadership seminar, which you can read about here.October found us in the US again, to participate in a missions conference at the Blairsville Independent Baptist Church, near Pittsburgh PA, at the invite of our friends Rob and Becky Ingmire.A lengthy layover in Orlando allowed us to spend some more time with Michael – and get a tour of his office.Mac and cheese on pizza…because this is America!Anybody else notice that these flights have less and less room?Children’s Day event on our new property, with the theme “Jesus is more than a superhero.”Me with my favorite super heroine.I don’t remember Batman needing the help of other members of the Justice League while putting on his uniform…One of the highlights of our year…the ladies’ retreat at Mount Zion Baptist Camp. Read about it here.At the end of October I turned 53, and celebrated in the most Brazilian way possible.October 28, 2025 marked 20 years of ministry in Brazil. I’ll probably have a little more to say about that momentous occasion later.
