Ebenezer Update: NEW PROPERTY PURCHASED!!!
You will pardon the all-caps in the title, but we have been searching, and praying, and working, and praying some more on this for a long time.
First, some of our readers may need to be brought up to speed.
Back in 2023, the then-pastor of Ebenezer approached us with the opportunity to purchase a piece of property that would give the church much-needed visibility, and easier access. We got on board, and even recorded a video to raise funds for the project.
Later on that year that pastor resigned and we were called to Ebenezer to help the church get back on its feet. We continued to promote the project, and were thrilled when donations came in that would allow us to purchase the property.
But as we began negotiations for the purchase, it became clear to us that the owner was not dealing in good faith. With great disappointment, we decided against buying.
For the next several months we looked, in vain, for another suitable property we could purchase. We followed several leads, but either there was a problem with the location, a problem with the property itself, or the price was prohibitive.
Finally we decided that, because every conceivable option had ended in a closed door, God was leading us to build our new sanctuary on the property we already have…hidden and inconvenient as it is. I had reconciled myself to this and was even relieved that the looking process was over and we could begin building.
It was at about that time that I made a quick trip to the US to spend some time with my parents. Upon my return (almost as soon as I walked in the door) one of our deacons called saying that he had found another piece of property that looked promising. I reluctantly agreed to look into it, feeling at that point that it would end up as the other options had, and would only postpone our building. However, when I went to look at the property, I was intrigued.
It was 25 meters by 60 meters, with a cottage on it that could easily be turned into Sunday School rooms, and more than enough room to build a decent auditorium. What’s more, it was right in front of the community square, and surrounded by residences. The owners were known in the community, and motivated to sell. The asking price was well within our range. So we moved forward.
And as we moved forward, God opened every door as we came to it. Legal work, documentation, it all fell into place.
So as of a couple weeks ago I am pleased to announce that the Ebenezer church is purchasing this property. The contract has been signed, the first payment made, and a lawyer is handling the paperwork. Once everything is settled at City Hall we will make the final payment.
But, per the contract, we currently have access, and have been using it for various events for the last couple weeks. Needless to say, the Ebenezer church is praising God for his faithfulness in providing His best for us in His time!

So rejoice with us, and pray with us as we begin the process of construction, and of transferring to our new location.
