Our 2026 Baptist Mid Missions Brazil Conference
As is our yearly custom, the Baptist Mid Missions missionaries serving in Brazil met together two weeks ago for fellowship, edification, and to take care of mission business.
This year’s conference took place in the beautiful city of Recife. This year we had the privilege of hearing challenging, convicting, and encouraging messages from Pastor Rich Powell, of Grace Bible Church in Winston Salem, NC. A couple from the same church, Scott and Debbie Kochanek, brought dynamic lessons to our MKs. Our son Nathanael commented on how we was blessed both by Pastor Powell’s messages and his time with the Kochaneks.
Speaking of MKs, one of the coolest things about conference is observing the multi-generational aspect of our work. Here are the current MKs, along with all the current missionaries who are also MKs.

And for good measure, here are the missionary families present at this year’s conference.

At this year’s conference we heard encouraging reports about what God is doing in our far-flung ministry venues, and made plans for future investment in Brazilian ministries. As has been the case in previous years, there is concern about a lack of new missionaries. But there was much rejoicing at the way many of our Brazilian brethren are taking up the mantle.
Still there is much to be done, and never enough people to do it.
Please pray for these dear brothers and sisters as they continue the work begun by the first BMM missionaries in Brazil almost a century ago.
