Snapshots of Missionary Life: Friends, Fall Pictures, Freezing Weather, more…

Lots of great pictures to share this week, so let’s get to it! (As always, if your browser does not show you the entire picture, just click on it)

One of my greatest challenges on furlough is limiting the number of books I acquire. Believe it or not, this is doing pretty good.

Our boys have always participated in various ways throughout our ministry. Here Nathanael shows a group of kids how to play Brazilian UNO.

Driving under the Erie Canal…not something one does every day.

It was a pleasure to hang out with our friends Brandon and Emily Carmichael.

Another privilege, getting to spend some more time with my friend Jesse.

We finally managed a stop at the incomparable Letchworth Park. It did not disappoint.

My friend John and I comparing leather jackets.

It has been snowing here of late, and those in my family who did not grow up in the freezing white stuff are quite enthused.

Back in Brazil, the Mount Zion Baptist Camp had their second annual Teen Retreat. You can read more about it here.

Speaking of camp, we had a very profitable meeting with our development team yesterday.

I was overjoyed to meet these believers from the Karen people of Burma…spiritual descendants of Adoniram Judson. I reflected on that meeting here.

What a joy it was to spend some time with Brazilian friends here in the US!

Meanwhile, back at our house in Brazil, this happened…

Finally, son Nathanael and I got to watch the Christmas parade in Corning, NY.
