Ministry Update: Baptist Mid Missions of Brazil 2024 Conference

At the beginning of this month we traveled to the state of Minas Gerais for the annual conference of our Baptist Mid Missions missionaries serving in Brazil. As always, the fellowship and mutual encouragement was the highlight of our time.

Nathanael looks forward to conference all year because it means he gets to hang out with his fellow MKs*
Our times of worship and edification by the Word are always sweet.
You may have notice that Nathanael and I are not in this picture. We were both laid low by a virus that ended up hitting most of us before the week was over.
Terry and Wendy Broyles were in our BMM candidate class in 2002.

Besides the fellowship and fun events (like spelunking!) we were also able to get some good business done. Mainly, we reorganized our national mission to better serve our much smaller (and continually shrinking) missionary body. Pray for us as we meet the challenges of the future.

I thought I’d end this post with a special moment that we caught on film. The staff at the hotel that hosted our conference went above and beyond the call of duty in making our stay comfortable. So at the end of the week we serenaded them in English and Portuguese.

Enjoy!
