Ministry Report: 2022 Carnaval Retreats
Brazil’s annual Carnaval celebration was once again rather muted this year, due to Covid (silver linings, etc). However, our churches continued their tradition of using the days off to get together for spiritual refreshment and fellowship. Itacyara and I were able to participate in two of them.
Since Ebenezer had nothing planned for Monday, we decided the show up at the retreat of the First Regular Baptist Church of São Luís. Pastor Geandro and his church organized the event, and the speaker was Pastor Marcelo, of the Good News Baptist Church.
On Tuesday the Ebenezer Church had a picnic scheduled at the home of our neighbor. However, at the last minute our neighbor took sick, and so the festivities were moved to our house.
