Best of Brazil: The French Connection – “Les Eaux de Mars”

As mentioned in earlier posts (for example here) I’ve had a personal project of learning French. In doing so, I have inevitably been introduced to certain aspects of French culture. One thing that stands out to me is that the French seem to have a certain fascination with Brazil.

One evidence of this is the number of Brazilian tunes that have been translated into French and have found their way into my Spotify playlist.

Take, for example, this lovely French version of the quintessential Bossa Nova tune “Aguas de Março” (Waters of March, or “Les Eaux de Mars” in French).
