Best of Brazil: Orlan Charles, Mickey Mouse and William Tell
We featured this clip back in 2019 in a post where I talked about our new recorder orchestra. Since we have recently restarted our recorder project at Ebenézer (more on that in a future post) I thought it would be appropriate to give the video its own Best of Brazil post.
Orlan Charles (Instagram, YouTube) is a Brazilian musician par excellence who specializes (but is in no way limited to) the recorder. In this amazingly executed and edited performance, he reproduces the sound track for the classic Mickey Mouse short The Band Concert. Not only does he play all four parts, but he seamlessly syncs it to the actual film footage.
The result is a masterpiece. Enjoy!
