Snapshots of Missionary Life: Returning to the US for Furlough

Last week we made the transition from Brazil to the US for our third furlough. We took lots of photos, so buckle up your seat belts…and make sure your trays are in their upright and locked position.

One of the first hurdles we had to jump was the requirement of a negative Covid test. Here we are before the test…

…and after.

Saying goodbye to family…

…and friends…

…and food.

The day of the great voyage arrives, and we greet it with a morning run.

All packed up and ready to go.

One last family photo before we go.

Flying over the immense city of São Paulo.

Nathanael snapped this picture out of the plane window.

Is there a better way to be welcomed back to the US than with a train ride? I think not.
