Close Encounters of the ISS Kind
Ever since he has developed his interest in astronomy, my son Michael has had the goal of filming the International Space Station as it goes in front of the moon. This is no easy task, as it involves being in the right place at the right time. To add to the difficulty, the ISS goes REALLY fast.
Yesterday, on his third attempt, he was finally able to do it, and, as the GIF shows, it was spectacular.
Here is a composite picture he made, showing the progress of the ISS as it moved in front of the moon.
