A Special Note from Our Son Michael

The following is from our son Michael. We are rejoicing at this opportunity he has been given!

Hello,

My name is Michael Comings. My parents are Andrew and Itacyara Comings, missionaries in Brazil. My Dad is starting churches in São Luis, Maranhão. Right now we’re on furlough here in the US, and I am participating with the youth group of Fellowship Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida.

I have been given an opportunity to go to Portugal with the missions team from the church. The trip will be from June 17th-27th. We will be helping the missionaries Adam and Melissa Gibson with ESL and sports-related ministries. Because I speak Portuguese, I will be able to help the team with translation.

For me to participate in this ministry, I need to raise $1450. I am participating in youth group fund-raising events and doing yard work to raise the money for the trip. So far I have raised $576.14 towards this goal.

Please pray for the preparations of the trip, and for  safety as we travel. Pray also that God will provide the money for the trip. If you’ll would like to help me reach this goal, contact my Dad at brazilnut72@gmail.com or 863 255-4912.
