Best of Brazil: Time Travel to Rio de Janeiro of the 1920s and 1930s.
I love watching old footage of street scenes in cities around the world. To me it is like a window on time, seeing people as they really were, living their normal lives, giving us a snapshot of what life was like at that particular place and time. It’s the closest we will probably ever come to time travel.
If you are like me, then you will love these videos. The first is a series of home movies from Rio de Janeiro in the 1920s. The next three are from a decade later.
Needless to say, Rio has changed, A LOT, since then.
