Camp Elim: The Wall, Phase 1
Last week I was able to spend a few days at the camp. I hired a bricklayer, and we began laying the foundation for the wall. Here is what has been accomplished so far:
Digging the trench.
Receiving the rocks.
Transporting the water tank.
Building the foundation.
Putting up support columns.
On Monday I will be returning–Lord willing–and finishing the wall, including the wooden gates. I will also be talking to contractors about digging a well, installing electricity, and building bathrooms and a kitchen/dining area–all things that need to be accomplished before the camp can be used for activities.
