Brazil Protest Roundup

In the course of the past few days I’ve been asked a lot of questions about the current situation in Brazil. I’ve written about it here, here and here.

As I am not currently in Brazil, I am relying heavily on other sources for my information. I thought I would list some of the best sources I have found so those who are interested can keep up to date.

By far the best source of information on Twitter is Rachel Glickhouse, otherwise known as RioGringa.

This New York Times article gives a good summary of any as to the current unrest, as does this post from the BBC. Another, rather detailed article can be found here.

A good place to get regular news and opinions about what is happening in Brazil, from diverse perspectives, is the online Brazzil Magazine.

Of course I will continue to provide updates here, as time allows.

Update: this video explains the most recent happenings, then gives us Americans (especially Republicans) a reality check.
