Association Adventure
This is long overdue, but what follows are some pictures and commentary from a trip I took with area pastors and laymen to the state of Ceará, where we participated in that state’s association meeting. As there are only two Regular Baptist churches in Maranhão, we participate in the Ceará state association.

Our arrival in the city of Pacoti, after several hours of travel, which included its fair share of wandering around lost.
For me, the best part of these events is always the fellowship. Here is a group of pastors, deep in conversation, as seen from the third floor of the conference center.
A chance to get together with the pastors and laymen of our former church in Juazeiro do Norte
The trip home afforded us the opportunity to see some interesting things, like the José de Alencar Theater in Foraleza…
…the coastal city of Camocim…
…and a “gigantic” praying mantis.
For all the adventure, however, it was great to get back home!
